As part of a management review conducted by a business consulting company we hired in late 1995, I worked with one of their CPA's with years of business experience to help us determine our true costs of making custom remedies. Previously, our prices were estimates on my part. We broke out the various cst factors and quantified them and have now produced a table showing the true cost of preparing custom remedies. A major factor is the cost of the potentizer itself which has a life of about 4000 hours or two million potencies. One hundred 10M's use up half of the life of the potentizer. (For a car, 4000 hours of operation at sixty miles per hour would be 240,000 miles! Each 10M would represent a trip of 1,200 miles. One hundred such trips would represent 120,000 miles!) This cost must be assigned to the remedies made in order to be able to maintain and replace the potentizer when appropriate. We are having two new potentizers built for the new laboratory to enable us to increase both the depth and breadth of our remedy stock. I want to be able to effectively maintain and productively use these potentizers. Realistic prices for custom remedies will further those goals. I appreciate your understanding. Sincerely, Michael.
